ebalta UK Introduce Lowest Viscosity RIM and Vacuum Casting Materials for the RP Market
ebalta is a market leader in the field of model and tool making having specialised in the manufacture and supply of tooling materials since 1974.
Introducing new materials to the market, ebalta UK is launching a range of proven, rapid setting RIM and vacuum casting materials for the Rapid Prototyping industry. These materials produce detailed parts within minutes without the need for hard tooling and simulate the appearance and physical properties of thermoplastics.
ebalta's new RIM materials bring the advantage of being the lowest viscosity materials on the market, allowing for faster injection as well as easier filling of larger mouldings.
The new materials include RIM polyurethane MG 453 - a black, high heat resistance material with good impact strength and excellent flow properties. This material has been developed for automotive and EPD applications. Also new to the UK market is RIM polyurethane MG 425 - a polypropylene-like material with high impact resistance, available in black or neutral. As with many of ebalta's materials, MG 425 formulated for automotive components and bumpers, can be customised according to specific customer requirements.
Also new to the UK market are 3 two-component, polyurethane vacuum casting materials; MG 850 - a low viscosity, crystal clear material with a fast demould time; MG 703 - a neutral, polypropylene-like, high impact material with good flexural strength and superior surface finish ideal for interior automotive parts; and MG 804 - an easy to use material available in neutral or black and in a standard or a long pot life version for the production of high quality, large parts for form, fit and function testing.
